Hello! We are Sam and Sara Brownwood, our passion is medicine that comes from nature as God intended. What began as research and experiments to provide organic food and safe non-toxic household items and cosmetic options for our family has become something we want to share with the rest of you, whether you let us make the product for you or you learn how to make it yourself from our blog!
Our Story
Our product line began when my mother mentioned the whipped tallow balm she had purchased from the local farmers market. I happened to have a few packages of beef suet in the freezer with plans to produce cooking tallow and tallow balms and salves for our family. With my passion being medicinal herbs, I have found it so fulfilling to make extra products for others. While my education is ongoing, I wish to share with you what I am learning and creating!
When I dove deeper into the world of balms and fragrances and cosmetics I realized how toxic our environment has become. As a result, one item at a time we began to detox our home by making alternatives with clean ingredients. Starting with our basic laundry detergent which you can find in the store or use the recipe located on our blog! A few months and many experiments later, I feel comfortable knowing my loved ones are not inhaling or absorbing, or ingesting synthetic ingredients.
We still have a long way to go to be completely toxin free —if that can even be achieved today— but that’s why I want to bring you in and help you start now!
