Four Pillars Farm.
Our name is something we took quite some time choosing. Lost Pear Farm was our runner up because we were missing a pear tree when we received our orchard shipment! 😂
But truly, inspired by the four existential states of being —mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual— Sam’s passion for psychology and for living as an apprentice to Jesus to the best of our ability led him to begin a ministry called “fire night”. The simple act of creating a space where hard conversations can be had among men seeking light and leadership in a world that can be so full of darkness has been life changing as well as instrumental to the naming of Four Pillars Farm. Sam could of course speak more to this as a man, as prior military service, and as a dad of boys; but the general idea I gather is to surround yourself with a supportive community of Godly men. The Four Pillars Farm firepit is Sam’s way of offering a meeting place in hopes that God uses it to move in the lives of those that visit and in the community as a whole.
While the figurative pillars are also conveniently applicable to so many aspects of life in general, the four physical pillars on the farm —each constructed of different materials— are installed in the north, south, east, and west corners around the fire pit and is what our name is born of. Those that have seen them know that they are still under construction.. but I do look forward to adding photos to this post upon their completion 😉
